ASTM D412 - Tensile test method for vulcanized rubber and thermoplastic rubbers and elastomers

This test measures the strength elongation of gloves when stretched to breaking point. Measuring the elongation is important because depending on the formulation of the latex dip used in the manufacturing process, the ability for each medical glove to stretch will differ. This is important in latex gloves because the more latex sap is used in the latex dip, the higher the quality of the final product will be.
