Managing Latex Sensitivity

NRL or natural rubber latex has become associated with causing latex sensitivity within the health care community. As issues surrounding latex allergies have increased, the spotlight has been placed on the medical industry to ensure supplies are free of latex material.  Most commonly found in examination gloves, latex is also known to be a raw material for syringes and other supplies.

Since the time the usage of latex gloves increased, reports of allergies and sensitivity have increased. This has caused hospital professionals to be conscious of this concern and take measures to ensure staff and patients affected will be protected in a latex-free environment. The purpose of this section is to go into detail the concerns and how to control latex sensitivity.
